Professional Experience and Background

Dale is a Senior Systems Engineer and Project Manager with over 30 years of experience in product development, design and support. Although his background is in electrical engineering, his experience and insight as a technical generalist helps guide engineering teams in the development of innovate and successful products. Dale has direct experience in optics, fluidics, sensor design, electronics, CAD modeling and in vitro diagnostic systems. Mr. Schoonover received Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering with minors in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics from Oregon State University. He is also one of the founders of Quest.

Medical Experience

Dale has worked on 11 medical devices of which 9 have received 510(k) or PMA approval. The most complex of these systems was an immunoassay system with throughput of 300/hour. He has also lead the design effort on direct patient contact devices requiring compliance with safety standards like 60601-1.

Instrument Experience

Through the 13 years at Quest Dale has worked on 49 different instrument programs.
