Professional Experience and Background

Jon VonOhlsen is a Senior Electronic Engineer who has been involved in the analytical instrumentation industry for over 23 years, the last 9 years with emphasis on medical instruments. He has been responsible for design, development, V&V, transfer to manufacturing, and project management for medical devices. His high-level skill set also includes the modeling of complex electronic systems using SPICE and compliance with electrical safety standards. Mr. VonOhlsen graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Mathematics. He is also one of the founders of Quest.

Medical Experience

Jon has worked on 21 medical devices of which 15 have received 510(k) or PMA approval. The most complex of these systems was an immunoassay system with throughput of 300/hour. He has also lead the design effort on direct patient contact devices for cardiac treatment and compliance with safety standards like UL 60601-1.
