Dale Schoonover

Dale Schoonover, a Chief Technology Officer, cofounded Quest Product Development Corporation in January 1995. Dale is the Senior Systems Engineer and a Technology Manager at Quest.

With over 30 years of experience in product development, design, and support, his knowledge and insight as a technical generalist helps guide engineering teams in the development of innovative and successful products. While at Quest, Dale has had direct experience in optics, fluidics, sensor design, electronics, CAD modeling, and in vitro diagnostic systems. The most complex of these systems was an immunoassay system with throughput of 300/hour. He has also led the design effort on direct patient contact devices requiring compliance with safety standards like 60601-1. He has utilized unique technologies like custom sensors, voice coils, and holograms to provide non-traditional solutions to Quest’s customer’s needs.

Mr. Schoonover received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering with minors in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics from Oregon State University.

Dale has worked on more than 11 medical devices of which 9 have received 510(k) or PMA approval and at least, 49 different instrument programs.
